Together with Mayke Haringhuizen we are this year's artists in residence of SONIC WEST. In our project we explore the hidden gardens (binnentuinen) of Amsterdam Oud West and we create compositions  based on field recordings, interviews and sound documentaries, as well as we organize soundwalks in the area.

For a sneak preview listen to the trailer below.

Soundwalk, August 2019 - De Hallen, Amsterdam

Geroezemoes is a work also in collaboration with  Mayke Haringhuizen.

By 2020 the advancement of technological surveillance possibilities is rapid. Cameras with facial recognition software are now globally used in public spaces to flag aberrant behavior and track violent or racist behavior. Geroezemoes aims at reminding us the presence of ongoing surveillance in our daily lives and repeats the question: How do we create a safe society without losing our autonomy?

It is a site-speciffic, mulichannel composition especially made for—and inspired by—the parking lot at the De Hallen in Amsterdam Oud West. It is expected to be open to the public in the second half of 2020.
